Giant African Land Snail Lissachatina fulica

Adult size: 12-20cm long
Lifespan: 5-10 years
Diet: Vegetables like lettuce and cucumber, as well as fruits. Cuttlefish should also be given.
Housing: A plastic tub/glass fish tank is fine for most adults; two adults will be comfortable in a 60cm tank.
Notes: A popular low maintenance pet, they’re docile and slow moving making them ideal for younger children. They’re easy to keep and can be kept at room temperature or only need a heat mat for colder conditions.
